Prospectus

The online game market in Japan has rapidly expanded accompanying improvements to the communication infrastructure and diversification in devices, and the market has reached approximately 1trillion 100 billion JPY in scale (2016). Although the market continues to expand annually, there exist issues and problems resulting from underdevelopment as it is still a new business, and this sometimes places consumers at a disadvantage. The Japan Online Game Association (JOGA) was established in 2007 in order to solve these types of issues in the industry. JOGA’s main role has been to promote information sharing between member companies and to support companies and compliance activities in order to further develop the online game industry as well as new businesses derived from online games. Through these activities, we hope to contribute to the economic development of Japan and benefit the public.
